MUSIC fanciers thought he had hit the ceiling, but the truth is the ceiling knocked him down not out.
At 66. The bold and unbended doyen of Zim xitsonga gospel music made a return to the music world. I am talking about the deft music duffer BB500 – Boti Baloyi who promised to reveal the meaning of 500 in future.
BB500 went amok for many moons, after appetising the world with two tracks: Hluvuko 1- Xikavatlana and Hluvuko 2 – Moya Wa Mina. He left a sea of fans crammed in wonder, gnashing for more.
Speaking about his musical journey, BB500 said music was his main subject in college, later became a calling. In 1993, he formed Khindlimuka band, which he renamed to Vazalwana Crew after accepting Christ. He made local schools famous through music.
An ex tutor from Chiredzi cited life’s ups and downs as reason behind his long break. His return is a blessing, surprise and fresh topic for buzzers. He has just thrown a number Hluvuko 3 – Mbilu Ya Mina Ya Tsaka [MYYT], which is currently making tides on airplay.
MYYT, which he defined as a must play gospel piece, is meant to refresh Christians and non Christians. The song might rule our airplay over the festive season. His doll twin daughters Putani and Pelani are behind the backing vocals, spicing the song with their melodic voices – https://youtu.be/2k8iP7vpGio?feature=shared.
BB500 said the song can echoe to one’s mind if not repeated. He further asked fans to keep streaming and voting for the piece on Amaqhawantaba FM Chart Show Top 20 and Radio Zimbabwe Gospel Top 20, on Wednesdays and Fridays till end of the competition.
He concluded giving thanks to Amaqhawenentaba FM Chart Show Top 20 and Radio Zimbabwe Gospel Top 20 for promoting his hit song free of charge and all fans across the world for backing his hit song.
