My name is Timukudzeishe Gumbo. I was born on the 5th of July 1998. I did my primary education at the following schools; Mupagamuri Primary School in Chivi and Masvingo Primary School in Mberengwa. I also did my secondary education at two different schools which are Mbuya Nehanda High school in Mberengwa and Maungwa High School in Gutu.
At the age of 19 I became a victim of depression. I couldn’t disclose my problem to anyone. Being depressed and having no one to speak to forced me to start writing. That is how I became a writer.
Due to some circumstances beyond my control, I left my home Country Zimbabwe and I am now residing in South Africa in a small town called Heidelberg.
Below is one of my poetic pieces
If A doesn’t make it to B.
I’m human
And I do plan.
Hoping to uplift my daily situation,
Into being someone living his vision.
My plans are like mathematics.
One simple mistake, all will sieze to be fantastic.
Just like quadratic equations.
I need a formula, to hold onto.
But then what will happen?
If I’m to remain in the same circle.
A circle that got no angles.
All it holds is a terrorizing darkness.
Making every hope, a shame.
Every second counts.
And every failure counts too.
When getting up is a difficult task.
When every plane of life crushes.
And the heart, dies.
Does it make quitting an option?
An option higher than probability.
Tell me,
If A can’t make it to B.
Is it the obvious ending of fate?
